Program Provisions for Dealers

Registration & Trip Selection

  • The 2012 Windows To The World program is open only to Hunter Douglas dealers who are based in the United States and have an existing account in good standing with a Hunter Douglas fabricator.
  • A dealer may register for the 2012 Windows To The World program through only one Hunter Douglas fabricator. In the event of registration through multiple fabricators, all such registrations will be canceled.
  • To participate in the program, a dealer must register with his or her Hunter Douglas fabricator by selecting a trip level and destination. Each trip is for two people.
  • A dealer is permitted to register for only one trip level and destination. Once a dealer has selected a trip, the ability to change to a different destination—whether higher, lower or at the same level—is at the discretion of Hunter Douglas and their fabricator, based on availability, space commitments and/or penalties. Dealers will be confirmed for trips on a "first-qualified, first-confirmed" basis.

Trip Qualification

  • The 2012 Windows To The World program qualification period is January 1 through November 30, 2012.
  • Individual qualification targets for a dealer’s selected trip will be provided on the dealer’s monthly trip progress statement.

Partial Buy-Ins and Trade-Ins

  • A dealer may earn or buy-in for a maximum of two trips. Partial buy-ins are only available at the Platinum and Gold Levels, space permitting, by attaining at least 80% of the qualification criteria.
  • If space is available, dealers have the option to trade their earned trip level down for another level. Options to trade are subject to additional charges and are based on availability.

Taxation

  • All awards earned are considered by the IRS to be taxable income. Any and all Federal, state and local taxes are the responsibility of each dealer.
  • IRS Form 1099MISC will be issued by the sponsoring fabricator to all dealers that earn a trip. The Form 1099MISC will be issued for the fair market value of the trip as determined by Hunter Douglas’ reasonable discretion.

General Provisions

  • All accounts must be current within payment terms with all Hunter Douglas fabricators prior to the issuance of any travel documents.
  • Trips are non-transferable to anyone other than the dealer earning the trip or its employees.
  • Only qualifying dealers and their registered guests may participate in Windows To The World trip inclusions, such as meals, group activities or tours, and transfers. Under no circumstances can unregistered persons participate in trip inclusions. Badges will be checked for eligibility. Dealers who violate this policy will be liable for the cost of additional trips and will be disqualified from Windows To The World participation for the following year.
  • Trips are non-refundable, with no consideration for any unused trips.
  • No other awards or cash will be provided in lieu of the trips published.
  • There is no cash value for unused portions of the program.
  • Hunter Douglas is not the operator of these programs and does not exercise direct control over the services provided by third-party suppliers, i.e., airlines, cruise lines, hotels, ground transportation providers, etc. Therefore, from the date of this published information to the actual dates of travel, schedules and other service inclusions or options offered by third-party suppliers may change without prior notification.
  • Hunter Douglas retains the right to add, change or eliminate trip dates or replace a trip of equal value based on the projected number of qualifying dealers.
  • Hunter Douglas reserves the right to audit compliance with the qualification requirements and reserves the right to amend, alter or cancel this program at any time.
  • In the event of any ambiguity of any of the foregoing, the decision and interpretation thereof by Hunter Douglas will be final.
